Data Provisioning & Enrichment (DP&E) Crew is accountable for setting and delivering the Support Unit Data & Analytics strategy. It provides guidance on portfolio investments to ensure we are building and leveraging world-class data assets and tools across the Support Units, designs and implements the data quality framework for the Support Units and supports to manage and improve the quality of the data used.

We manage and govern CBA’s data which is used for Financial and Regulatory Reporting and roles interact with stakeholders across Business Units.

The SUDO Data Management team is responsible for uplifting data capability, data quality and data management within the Support Units for data consumed from across the Group. This includes continuous improvement of tools, processes and methodologies and ensuring that all Support Unit data owners comply with Data Management Policy, supporting the build of data assets and overseeing data-related initiatives.

We act as Data Storytellers – we support Data Consumer understand the data they consume, what data risks exist, what controls help ensure quality and where they may be gaps.  We cover cover internal and external reporting which is used to make real decisions on how we operate as a bank.

Responsibilities include:

• ​Leading and supporting implementation and compliance with the Data Management Policy suite across the Support Units

• Partnering with Data Stewards and key stakeholders to identify data quality requirements and impacts to business processes and controls to make informed recommendations

• Working with platform teams to design, test and implement data quality solutions

• Assessing Support Unit data risk and ensuring data quality is appropriately managed

• Taking ownership of outcomes, driving decisions, and resolving or escalating issues

• Operating within the risk appetite of the business and modelling the Group’s Leadership Behaviours

We are interested to hear from people who have:

• Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills with a track record of building positive and productive partnerships

• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex concepts or problems to various audiences including senior management

• Understands data management and its implementation in a financial institution

• Understanding of data lineage, risk, and controls

• Outcome focused, with the ability to work with multi-discipline teams and the agile operating model

• Demonstrated thought leadership, decision making and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment

• Microsoft SQL for writing queries to perform data analysis

• Desirable skills with Oracle and Tableau tools
