The Opportunity
 

This opportunity is a Hybrid work schedule where you are onsite 1 day per week and remote 4 days per week.

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services and best practices for cloud-native application development and deployment.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our cloud strategy, optimizing our infrastructure, and ensuring the highest standards of reliability and performance for our AWS-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
2. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security
3. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
4. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications
5. Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices
6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years focused on AWS
• AWS Professional level certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing serverless architectures
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and implementation in AWS VPC

Desired:

• Experience with multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with machine learning and big data services on AWS
• Contribution to open-source projects or AWS community initiatives

There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,200
