WHY WE NEED YOU
Hydrow’s data team is seeking a Data Analyst to specialize in content and product analytics. This role is critical to helping Hydrow stakeholders understand how our customers engage with the on-Rower experience on a day-to-day basis as well as provide deep dive analyses to drive product and content roadmaps.
As an objective third party, this analyst will provide data inspired insights and help round out Hydrow’s data and analytics function.A successful candidate is one that can clearly understand business goals, shows resilience to data problems in a fast-paced environment, and can synthesize analyses into compelling narratives that drive decisions.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Analytics and join a data team of 3 others; each also wearing several different organizational hats.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Support data roadmap goals by establishing a framework in how we evaluate success from a content perspective. This includes developing metrics and establishing historical benchmarks related to member engagement and consumption habits.
  • Track and report KPIs across key parts of the content and experience engine, creating insights from various sources like workout data, social media posts and product analytics. This role will identify reporting gaps and potential growth opportunities through analyses.
  • Help facilitate weekly recaps of core company KPIs; be able to pinpoint where relevant data trends impact core KPIs.
  • Ensure all experience team members can adequately track and gain insights into their channel’s performance through detailed dashboard visualizations
  • Assist on ad hoc analysis to better understand efficiencies of content delivery and how we communicate to our core consumers, etc. Bonus points if you have statistical expertise with analyses like regressions.
  • Work on the development of the technology roadmap to capture, manage, and leverage customer/consumer data to improve marketing and personalization initiatives.




WHO YOU ARE

  • Technical: You’re experienced in content analytics and are comfortable working with ambiguous data. While most of the data you’ll be analyzing is created by us, bonus points for any expertise in the following: Amplitude Analytics, Google Analytics, HotJar, Meta Business Manager.
  • Data Native: You have 3+ years’ experience with dashboard and data visualization creation with a proven track record assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced environment. You have deep knowledge of data platforms and analytics tools, including BI Expertise (Domo/Tableau), SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Critical Analytical Thinker: You are comfortable and familiar with collecting and analyzing internal and external data. With a data driven mindset, you pinpoint and articulate problem areas and are comfortable in an environment of change and improvement. You are confident in creating and presenting solutions to your cross functional partners and leaders. You have at least a basic understanding of statistical testing and experimentation.
  • Collaborative & Communicative: You work hard and work well with other departments and teams.  You listen to feedback and listen to your team and co-workers needs and expectations. You ensure the teams you work with know where projects stand. You have a strong ability to prioritize projects with minimal supervision.
