COHO Consulting Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Analyst to join our team supporting our Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Human Resources Directorate (HRD) Business System Modernization/Automation program. This person will be responsible for supporting HRD with various projects related to data analysis – including but not limited to building and maintaining workflows and data dashboards using Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint.

In this role, the person will be supporting a business system modernization contract by conducting data analysis, assessing current practices, recommending new solutions, developing workflows, completing data transformation, and creating/maintaining data visualizations for WHS HRD, their customers, and Department of Defense leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of professional experience and advanced knowledge of Power BI and Power Automate. SharePoint experience is a plus.

This position will be onsite Monday-Friday at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, with occasional meetings at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide data analysis and innovative solutions to support business system modernization and automation efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets.
  • Create best practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Work closely with federal points of contact to understand their needs, including identifying critical metrics/KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drive business performance, investigating and communication areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, integrating various reporting components from multiple sources.
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and appropriate performance solution.
  • Work on a collaborating team of process, data, and systems analysts to assess current maturity levels, make recommendations for To Be state, and carry out those recommendations to increase the use of automation and data visualizations.
  • Identify data requirements and automation opportunities associated with the essential functions of HRD divisions.
  • Work with clients to gather requirements for a project, develop a timeline/project plan, present for approval, and execute in the proposed timeline.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Clearance:
    • Minimum of DoD Public Trust or equivalent from another agency.
  • Education/Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related field. Or Bachelor’s degree in another field with minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, Power BI, and Power Automate.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teammates and stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
