Our analytics team is made up of data analysts dedicated to various areas of the business who develop reporting, insights, and serve as a consultative partner to our entire organization. You will have your hands on our self-serve product-led business, supporting the team in making decisions, optimizing features, and enhancing customer acquisition – ultimately driving business growth. 

 

Our Data Analysts play a pivotal role in empowering the Calendly team with strategic insights into user funnel dynamics and critical business metrics, specifically within the product realm.  This role sits on the Product Analytics team, part of our centralized Analytics team alongside Growth Analytics, Reporting Analytics, and User Insights. Together, our team is positioned to help Calendly become a data-driven, customer-obsessed organization. 

 

The Product Analytics team enables Calendly to be a customer obsessed organization with a data-informed strategy that is measured and validated throughout the development lifecycle. Product Analytics empowers Calendly to understand and quantify our impact to customers through meaningful and actionable insights that drive strategy and innovation. A day in the life of a Senior Data Analyst at Calendly

Our Senior Data Analysts utilize their deep product expertise and advanced analytics skills to drive decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses, owning experimentation from end to end, developing event tracking plans, and delivering impactful reports to measure the effectiveness of features. Working closely with product and other business stakeholders, analysts translate complex business questions into structured analyses, support experimentation through data collection and test design, and provide strategic recommendations. A strong commercial mindset is essential, as the role requires the ability to size up ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, and guide the team toward actionable insights.

 

On a typical day, you will be working on: 

  • Partnering with cross-functional teammates across Product, Engineering, Design, Finance, CX, and Marketing to define analytics and experimentation roadmaps and identify new product feature opportunities 
  • Developing robust measurement plans to monitor business impact across key product initiatives
  • Designing and analyzing A/B tests and releases to validate hypotheses and optimize feature adoption and retention
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives related to data governance, experimentation frameworks, KPI development, and product lifecycle management
  • Ensuring analytics outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with Calendly’s business goals
  • Applying statistical methods to uncover product insights (including, but not limited to cohort analysis, retention analysis, user segmentation, growth models, and cluster analysis)
  • Building and maintaining dashboards that surface key product and user trends and enable stakeholders to self-serve insights effectively
  • Synthesizing large behavioral data sets and partner with Product & Research stakeholders to create a complete picture of the Calendly customer, their behaviors, and needs



What do we need from you?

  • Deep knowledge of A/B testing statistics and experimentation end to end design
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data analysis/visualization tools like Hex
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, translating data insights into actionable product strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven leadership experience, fostering cross-functional collaboration and mentoring junior team members
  • Ability to translate detailed data into clear, actionable recommendations, bridging technical and business perspectives
  • Track record of building custom reporting and dashboards for impactful visualizations
  • Inquisitive mindset for uncovering insights and opportunities through data, driving continuous improvement
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing organization
  • Nice to have: Proficient in Python programming for developing advanced analytics solutions and automation scripts
  • Nice to have: Experience supporting 0 to 1 product launches, helping shape early product strategy with data insights
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
