Analytics Supervisor
The Analytics Supervisor plays a dual role as a working team lead responsible for prioritizing, coordinating, and delivering analytics content while overseeing a team of analytics professionals. The supervisor collaborates with cross-functional leadership to drive enterprise-wide data strategy and ensures that reporting and visualization solutions meet the needs of stakeholders across Deaconess Health System.
Job Overview:

Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for analytics staff, establishing internal priorities, goals, and best practices

Lead development and delivery of reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects

Work with senior leadership to define and execute analytics strategies that align with system-wide objectives

Mentor team members and conduct performance reviews to support professional growth and team development

Identify data quality and reconciliation issues and develop processes for resolution
-
Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
-
Participate in governance and enterprise data initiatives to ensure consistency and compliance
-
Maintain appropriate documentation and follow change control procedures for all analytics updates

Research trends and best practices in healthcare analytics; represent Deaconess at relevant workshops, webinars, and industry conferences
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (required)

Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science (required)

Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
Licensure & Certifications

BI-related certifications (preferred)
Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Visio)

Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos)

Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts

Familiarity with healthcare data, compliance regulations, and statistical analysis methods

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
