Some things you can expect to do:
- Analyze complex, cross-functional datasets (e.g., operational metrics, project schedules, debriefs) to identify actionable insights and trends.
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models to improve safety, forecast schedules, and assess risk.
- Lead the shift from descriptive to predictive analytics by integrating forward-looking indicators into dashboards and tools.
- Establish robust testing, experimentation, and validation practices to assess the impact of data-driven strategies.
- Support model lifecycle management, including monitoring performance, retraining, and integrating feedback loops.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior data scientists, ensuring high standards in modeling, coding, and storytelling.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and analytical rigor within the data team.
- Partner with construction operations, safety, and project management teams to translate analytics into business and field-level impact.
- Communicate complex findings to senior leadership in clear, non-technical terms to influence strategy and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with demonstrated success in applying predictive analytics to real-world business problems.
- Proven leadership in designing and deploying ML models using tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or probabilistic methods (e.g., Bayesian networks).
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Python, SQL, GCP, AWS, Azure Databricks, MLflow).
- Experience with construction, real estate, or capital projects data is a strong plus.
- Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science).
- Strong track record of enabling automation, improving decision-making, and delivering measurable business impact.
- Experience deploying ML models into production and integrating with enterprise platforms such as Procore, Epic, or similar.
- Familiarity with generative AI technologies and their integration into business workflows to enhance productivity or insight generation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to influence without authority.
Compensation:
The base pay range is $123,000-$184,600/Annually. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
