A Day in the Life
As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming complex data into meaningful insights through the development of scalable data pipelines and dynamic visualizations. Leverage your expertise in Power BI, ETL, big data, and Microsoft Fabric to design, optimize, and deploy advanced analytics solutions. This role will contribute to AI initiatives, leveraging generative AI technologies for automation, predictive analytics, and agent-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering or data science, hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agent frameworks, and the ability to translate business needs into powerful Power BI reports and data models. Additionally, experience in the logistics industry is highly desirable

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing deadlines and resources effectively
The Must Haves:
- A post-secondary degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization
- Strong expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms
- Nice to have Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis and automation
- Engaged in projects implementing generative AI technologies, LLMs’ and agent-based frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, AutoGen, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel).
- Nice to have experience working within .NET frameworks (AI-related applications) and/or Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure ML, or other cloud data platforms
- Nice to have demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship capabilities, especially in guiding junior Power BI developers
- Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally walking and standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc. when stepping into the warehouse
Things You Will be Doing
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Manage ETL pipelines and work with large-scale datasets to ensure data accuracy and performance
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end data integration and analytics solutions
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business leaders, to deliver scalable and effective data-driven solutions
- Contribute to AI initiatives, including the design and implementation of AI agents leveraging generative AI technologies
- Stay informed on emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to foster innovation and continuous improvement
- Uphold best practices in data governance, security, and compliance
- Following NRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
