As our Data Analyst, you’ll be delivering deep analytical insights across care operations, user engagement, and platform performance. You'll work with modern datastack tools in Azure and Databricks, support AI model development using Azure ML and AI Studio and uplift our analytics maturity.

About the role

As our Data Analyst, you’ll do data exploration, modelling, and analytics delivery using cloud-native tools. You’ll work closely with the team of analysts, partner with engineers and AI developers, and deliver clean, scalable datasets that power insights, automation, and predictive outcomes.

You’ll help design and validate data inputs for machine learning models, ensuring data integrity across the full development lifecycle. You’ll also embed reproducible practices and integrate analytics with AI environments such as Azure ML, AI Studio, and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver data analysis and modelling across medallion lakehouse layers (bronze, silver, gold)
  • Design and optimise scalable data pipelines using SQL, PySpark, and Databricks
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to prepare and validate features for training and inference
  • Integrate datasets with Azure ML, AI Studio, and Databricks environments
  • Translate business needs into data hypotheses and validated outputs
  • Maintain analytical artefacts in notebooks with clear assumptions and traceability
  • Drive documentation, metadata, and governance via DataHub or Microsoft Purview
  • Identify and resolve pipeline issues including latency, lineage gaps and dataquality concerns
  • Deliver insight and self-service outputs via Power BI or similar tools
  • Apply advanced analytical methods including clustering, forecasting, and classification

You'll Work With

Internal teams including Data Engineers, AI/ML Developers, Product Managers, QA Analysts, Designers, SMEs, and external stakeholders such as aged care providers, researchers, and vendors.

Measures of Success

  • Deliver trusted datasets, models, and analysis are delivered with minimal rework or clarification
  • Integrate datasets with Azure ML and AI Studio, supporting active ML models
  • Ensure feature pipelines are stable, observable, and aligned with AI product goals
  • Embed data governance, documentation and quality controls in day-to-day practice

About You

Essential experience

  • 4+ years in data analytics or engineering
  • Hands on skills in SQL and Python, plus experience with PySpark and Databricks
  • Proficient with Azure, Databricks, Azure ML, and familiar with AI Studio workflows
  • Experience with lakehouse/medallion architectures and delta lake tables
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, validated analytical solutions
  • Applied expertise in aggregation, prediction, clustering, classification, and forecasting techniques
  • Experience documenting data logic, lineage, and quality controls in reproducible formats

Desirable

  • Experience prepping data for AI/ML pipelines and supporting model training
  • Exposure to decision trees, regression models, funnel analysis, and time-series analysis
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, cloud data warehouses, and tools like Purview or DataHub
  • Understanding of data privacy, ethics, and governance, particularly in regulated environments
  • Industry experience in healthcare, aged care, or other regulated sectors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • Equivalent experience considered
