Explore our offerings today!The Director, Data Engineering and Analytics, is responsible for the strategy and implementation of insightful data analytics and enterprise business intelligence. The scope of this job includes utilizing key performance indicators, business performance data, BI reporting, data governance functions, and industry best practices to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key liaison between the data insights team and organizational stakeholders to understand data needs, guide solution design, and implement effective analytics solutions.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support business-critical reporting and analytics.
- Drive data architecture decisions, automation, and optimization of data processes for performance and reliability.
- Implement data governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee design and delivery of executive dashboards, self-service BI tools, and interactive visualizations that surface key metrics and insights.
- Implement consistent KPI definitions and data-driven storytelling across the organization.
- Oversee and refine processes for data governance that ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility for decision-making.
- Promote a data-driven culture, encourage teams to leverage insights to drive business decisions and innovation, and foster expertise in data storytelling, tool usage, and interpreting data trends to inform business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve processes, systems, and analytics tools to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams to translate business needs into application enhancements and facilitate a smooth delivery and adoption of workflows and tools.
- Support the design and execution of key projects by providing guidance on solution development and acting as a resource for escalations or complex problem-solving.
- Advocate for consistent use of analytics and business intelligence tools across the organization, reinforcing standards for reporting and data visualization.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 8-10 years of related work experience
- At least 4-5 years of Management work experience
- Deep expertise in designing and building scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift) and data integration tools (Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Talend, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and data manipulation.
- Proven track record with BI and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Understanding of containerization and deployment workflows (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD processes for data and analytics solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
