Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Manager, Program Management - Technology Operations, Enterprise Data Strategy will play a critical role in driving the enterprise data strategy and data governance initiatives across Walmart. This individual contributor role will focus on ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of strategic data initiatives, including the Enterprise Data Portal (EDP) and improving data governance practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data strategy, data governance, and change management. Additionally, this role will involve creating communications and thought leadership content on industry trends, particularly in the areas of data and Generative AI (GenAI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the enterprise data strategy and data governance initiatives across Walmart.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Data Portal (EDP).
  • Develop and implement best practices for data management and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategy with business objectives.
  • Lead change management efforts to promote the adoption of strategic data initiatives.
  • Act as a program manager for all activities across the Enterprise Data Strategy team, ensuring alignment and coordination of efforts.
  • Create communications and thought leadership content on industry trends, particularly in the areas of data and Generative AI (GenAI).
  • Prepare and present reports on data strategy and governance performance and metrics to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data management and governance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in change management and driving adoption of new technologies or processes.
  • Strong project and program management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise data strategy and data governance.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and services.
  • Experience with data security and compliance standards.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience in creating thought leadership content and communications.

  • This position is based in Bentonville, AR.
  • No travel is required.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
