U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Distinguished AI Engineer (multiple positions) in San Francisco, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Implement and advance the applied use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to showcase its applicability for early-stage solutions.
• Research and evaluate new and emerging developments in the fields of computer vision, graph neural networks, transformers, and natural language processing.
• Modify artificial intelligence advancements to tailor to the needs of the business and integrate those methods to use cases.
• Drive the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the business and maintain technology roadmaps alongside senior leaders, business translators, business units, and partners.
• Mentor junior engineers in the applied use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to grow domain experts within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years in a Data Scientist, or related, occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following:
 

Developing and operationalizing advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence in an applied industrial or corporate research setting; Developing and debugging using Python, C, and MATLAB technologies; Computer vision techniques that involve object classification, object detection, and other techniques with different backbones, including Resnet or mobile Nets; Natural language processing techniques that use sequence to sequence Transformers, including entity recognition, classification, question answering, and summarization; Creating and managing proof-of-concept (POC) projects to production level implementations; Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning software and computational packages, including PyTorch; and Python packages, including numpy, pandas, and OpenCV.

Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $158,642 - $173,100 (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
