At Morgan Lewis our 2,200+ lawyers and legal professionals provide corporate, transactional, litigation, and regulatory services across all industries.Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Marketing Operations, the Marketing Operations Data Analyst is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to develop dashboards, automate reporting, implement new technologies and surface actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the marketing lifecycle.
By leveraging your creative problem-solving skills, client service mindset, and ability to think strategically about process improvements, you will be a core member of our new and growing marketing operations team.

Key functions and responsibilities:
Evaluate marketing processes using data insights to recommend workflow optimizations, automation opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BD, KM, IT, and Finance) to align reporting metrics and enhance data-informed decision-making.
Manage and optimize data from marketing platforms, CRM, CMS, and other business intelligence tools.
As required, support select marketing content such as awards, recognitions, SOPs, and additional content.
Oversee project intake for core marketing service requests, confirming all necessary details and supporting documentation have been received.
Assign projects to internal team members or outside service providers, ensuring a suitable match of skills and availability required for each assignment.
Create structured project workflows and ensure all projects are reviewed and approved by all relevant parties to ensure quality and alignment with objectives.
Ensure agreed-upon deadlines are realistic and achievable. Manage agreed deadlines (service level commitment – SLC) accurately
Maintain regular and clear communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with related projects and mitigation of project/task risk.
Partner with stakeholders to scope data needs and implement performance-tracking solutions that support marketing programs and projects.
Convert complex data sets into meaningful insights that inform strategic initiatives and decision-making.
Analyze large datasets, automate recurring reporting, and support marketing ideation.
Ensure data accuracy, hygiene, and governance across all sources and touchpoints.
Develop and maintain standard dashboards, SharePoint solutions, and reporting resources using various technology platforms, including Power BI, Qlik, and Power Automate, to monitor marketing performance and volume, operational KPIs, and quality output.
Optimize data from marketing platforms, CRM, CMS, Foundation, and other business intelligence tools.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Intelligence, Project Management, Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or operations, preferably in a professional services or B2B environment.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, and data fundamentals.
Hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets and database tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work on diverse projects effectively with various teams, employees, and lawyers across the firm at all levels, including senior management and stakeholders.
Experience using Python and/or R for data analysis, automation, or dashboard integration preferred.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce, InterAction, Marketo, etc.), marketing automation platforms, firm intelligence (Foundation), and enterprise analytics environments preferred.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing projects and preparing submissions.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows and deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and presenting findings to leadership teams.

For positions in New York, New York, the salary range for this job posting is: $78,500.00 - $125,600.00.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
