July Business Services (JULY) is seeking a talented and innovative AI Engineer with a passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating AI-driven features into our software products. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and fellow engineers to bring intelligent, data-informed functionality to life—enhancing user experiences and automating complex decision-making processes. You will be expected to bring technical expertise and leadership, ensuring high-quality code, scalability, and performance of our systems.

Artificial Intelligence Experience

• Design and develop AI-driven solutions, leveraging machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning models, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and performance.
• Develop and implement AI frameworks and pipelines to integrate into existing systems or create new AI-based products.
• Utilize contemporary AI tools and platforms, including no-code/low-code automation solutions, to develop automated agentic processes that improve efficiency of existing workflows.
• Rapidly develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts utilizing AI tools and features to show feasibility and enhance cooperation with stakeholders for efficient requirements gathering.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to preprocess, clean, and analyze large datasets.
• Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to support AI model development and deployment.
• Monitor and improve data quality to enhance AI model performance.
• Provide guidance on AI best practices, including ethical AI development, bias mitigation, and explainability of AI models.
• Lead research initiatives to explore new AI technologies and methodologies, keeping the organization at the forefront of AI innovation.
• Proficiency in AI development and experience with cloud-based AI services (e.g., Azure AI).
• Work closely with DevOps teams to implement and maintain AI models in production environments.
• Monitor AI systems post-deployment for performance and reliability, and address emerging issues as needed.
• Implement strategies for model retraining and updating based on new or evolving datasets.

 

Software Engineering Experience

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards, while continuously improving codebases.
• Develop a thorough understanding of July's business model, strengths, and product offerings.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to plan, communicate, and coordinate throughout the software design and development phases.
• Design systems to integrate third-party applications with July’s core systems including API integration.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering value and ensuring satisfaction for long-term engagement.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve complex software issues, providing timely solutions to ensure system reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and future system enhancements following JULY’s standard SDLC practices.

Our Needs…

• 5+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex applications.
• Proficiency in C# and JavaScript. Experience with web frameworks, cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies and experience designing and optimizing databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills who can juggle multiple projects with minimal oversight.
• Self-starting, resourceful, solution seeker with a can-do, client focused attitude who thrives on accountability, credibility, and trustworthiness 

Our Wants…

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Understanding security principles and experience building secure applications.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
