Art History Expert - AI Trainer

Ryz Labs is looking for experienced and credentialed art historians with a Master’s or PhD in art or art history to support a high-impact AI training initiative. This role involves curating and annotating diverse artwork from modern, historic, and culturally significant traditions. Candidates will label visual materials across various mediums, contextualize stylistic elements, and identify key artistic features to aid in the development of next-generation AI models.
Responsibilities:- Analyze and annotate images of artwork across various historical periods and cultural contexts.- Accurately label works by medium, technique, movement, and artist where appropriate.- Provide contextual information on style, influence, and cultural relevance.- Ensure consistency and precision in annotations based on art historical standards.- Collaborate with technical teams to refine project requirements and outputs.
Requirements:- Master’s or PhD in art or art history.- Deep expertise in modern, historic, and culturally significant artworks.- Strong fluency across artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and more.- Preferred experience in teaching art history or curating museum or gallery exhibitions.- Comfortable using digital tools and adapting knowledge to AI-focused workflows.- Excellent written communication skills and a client-oriented mindset.- We are seeking a commitment of 30–40 hours per week but may consider 20+ hours for exceptional candidates.
