In this role, you will lead the enterprise enablement, scalability, and governance of marketing automation and orchestration platforms supporting our Commercial and Medical Affairs organizations.

As a key partner to cross-functional leadership, you will translate omnichannel strategy into integrated platform capabilities and customer experiences that span digital and in-person touchpoints. This includes driving long-term system roadmaps, leading internal and external teams, and ensuring compliant, data-driven engagement. You will also play a critical role in enabling successful oncology product launches by operationalizing core digital capabilities that support field effectiveness, customer segmentation, and content delivery.

This role has direct oversight of team members, vendor partnerships, platform governance, and strategic planning input across relevant business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Leadership & Strategy Execution

    • Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and scalability of omnichannel marketing technologies (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva, Adobe Campaign).

    • Translate Commercial and Medical Affairs engagement strategy into technical system capabilities that support launch readiness, HCP experience, and field enablement.

    • Partner with stakeholders to define platform roadmaps, business priorities, and cross-functional implementation timelines.

  • Cross-Functional Enablement & Governance

    • Serve as a systems leader within cross-functional governance bodies (e.g., Omnichannel Council, Launch Excellence Teams).

    • Ensure alignment between field, digital, data, legal, and regulatory teams to support compliant customer journeys and content orchestration.

    • Contribute to enterprise-wide omnichannel frameworks, including business process design, content workflows, consent management, and audience activation.

  • Team & Vendor Oversight

    • Manage a team of internal platform administrators, campaign operations staff, and/or implementation specialists.

    • Lead strategic oversight of external vendors and technology partners, ensuring scalable delivery of integrated omnichannel solutions.

    • Oversee platform operations budget and resource allocation aligned to launch plans and enterprise readiness goals.

  • System Integration & Innovation

    • Drive integration of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva) with marketing platforms to enable personalized and measurable HCP engagement.

    • Guide development and optimization of next-best-action frameworks, segmentation models, and data feeds (e.g., CDPs, AI/ML enrichment).

    • Identify emerging technologies and innovative approaches to enhance cross-channel engagement and enterprise analytics maturity.

  • Compliance, Training & Support

    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., consent, data privacy, FDA guidance) across all platform activities.

    • Deliver training and onboarding for business partners and agency collaborators to drive effective use of systems and tools.

    • Own documentation and change management processes that support long-term operational scalability.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Marketing); advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in marketing automation, orchestration platforms, and CRM integration within pharma/biotech settings.

  • 2+ years of experience managing internal teams and/or external vendors in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Adobe Campaign, or similar enterprise platforms.

  • Expertise in customer segmentation, identity resolution, consent frameworks, and omnichannel analytics.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.

  • Strong project and vendor management skills, including RFP leadership and roadmap planning.

  • Experience working in commercial launch environments, ideally within oncology or precision medicine.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting both Commercial and Medical Affairs teams with omnichannel technologies.

  • Experience with Veeva Vault, Veeva CRM, or other life sciences content management systems.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, next-best-action) and how they enhance omnichannel impact.
