Principal Data Analyst - Brokerage Analytics

As a Principal Data Analyst within Brokerage Analytics, you’ll use some of the most robust real estate data in the world to answer questions that drive key business decisions across the entire company. In this role you will be a strategic partner in running the brokerage business, the largest business at Redfin, and communicate these analytics findings directly to C-Suite executives.
What You’ll Do:
Quickly ramp into becoming a subject matter expert on Redfin’s Brokerage conversion funnel.
Custom analysis in response to emergent business questions.
Deliver simple answers to complex, ambiguous questions. Excel at executive level communication and translating analytics findings into strategic action.
Autonomously synthesize analysis done by you and others into a coherent narrative of the state of the business. Collaborate across analytics to pressure test your narrative and communicate that narrative to business leaders.
Own driving consistent alignment of understanding of the state of the business unit between analytics, business unit leadership, and executive leadership.
Collaborate with team members across analytics to review analyses, code, and dashboards to ensure high fidelity deliverables that answer the right questions.
Collaborate with others (or build yourself) to mature custom analysis into scalable solutions when it makes sense.
Owning longer term investigations to drive deeper understanding of specific business metrics
Staying on top of a number of core signals and proactively digging in where you find surprises
Being consistently present in WBR/MBR formats to speak to the state of the business, course correct confusions, and provide guidance to business leaders.
About You:
You are a natural story teller. You know how to connect the dots and deliver concise messages (both written and verbal) to executive leadership that drive business decisions
You understand the complexities and interactions between data sets, reports, tables, business groups, and how they impact the business objectives and outcomes
You have 7+ years of experience in building reports, tables, and performing multi-faceted business analysis and presentations
You have 7+ years of SQL experience at a complex level
Strong experience with Tableau, R and or Python for statistics, and/or Real Estate industry experience are highly desired
You have a strong background in cross functional collaborations and are able to bring disparate groups together and build consensus
You have a background in breaking down complex problems into simplified narratives for non-technical audiences
Masters’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, computer science, or a related field

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.
Base Pay Range: $142,500.00 - 213,300.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs.
