Job Description: Data Scientist

Location: Bengaluru

The Team:

The Automotive Insights - Supply Chain and Technology and IMR department at S&P Global is dedicated to delivering critical intelligence and comprehensive analysis of the automotive industry's supply chain and technology. Our team provides actionable insights and data-driven solutions that empower clients to navigate the complexities of the automotive ecosystem, from manufacturing and logistics to technological innovations and market dynamics. We collaborate closely with industry stakeholders to ensure our research supports strategic decision-making and drives growth within the automotive sector. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced analytical models to support S&P Global Mobility's SCT and IMR business strategies.
  • Lead projects leveraging generative AI and intelligent agents to enhance predictive capabilities and automate complex processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate data-driven insights and solutions for the automotive sectors.
  • Design and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and integration across various platforms.
  • Mentor junior data scientists, providing guidance on best practices in data analysis and model development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in building Machine learning or Generative AI applications
  • Proven experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services, including data storage, processing, and machine learning solutions.
  • Experience in deploying and managing machine learning models on AWS.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of generative AI techniques and applications.
  • Understanding of data engineering and data pipeline optimization.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing environments and emerging technologies.
