Job Description

Visa’s Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) group delivers advanced fraud detection and prevention solutions, ensuring seamless, secure payment experiences. The Predictive Fraud Intelligence (PFI) team develops core AI/ML products within the Visa Protect suite, empowering clients to detect and prevent fraud throughout the payment lifecycle. With over 30 years of industry leadership, Visa continually evolves to meet the demands of the digital payment ecosystem.

As fraud vectors have rapidly evolved, PFI has significantly expanded its product portfolio and reimagined its approach to building, deploying, and monitoring real-time, low-latency AI models. We seek a seasoned AI product leader to drive platform capabilities and tooling, accelerating model development and supporting diverse client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Vision and Roadmap: Define and articulate a clear vision for efficient training, deployment, and monitoring of real-time AI models. Develop and prioritize a capabilities roadmap in partnership with Data Engineering, Data Science, and AIML Platform teams.
• Orchestration: Lead the strategy for orchestrating models and signals across clients and payment lifecycle stages.
• Data Strategy: Build a roadmap for high-impact data and signals to optimize model performance in both training and production environments.
• Platform Modernization: Drive modernization initiatives for Visa’s most scaled models, working closely with cross-functional technology and product teams.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of product managers and data analysts delivering region, market, and client-level analytics and AI capabilities, foster a high-performing, diverse team environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Unite resources and expertise across Visa to drive innovation, process improvement, and client success.

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of AI fraud models in the payments industry, working alongside a talented team of product managers, data scientists, and engineers. As a key leader for the Predictive Fraud Intelligence product team, the Senior Director will be a part of the leadership team and will help drive all aspects of model training, deployment and support working in close collaboration with a team of product manager, data scientists and data engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading AI/ML product development in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Experience working in any agile development setup strongly preferred.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ability to structure and solve complex business challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to set vision, drive platform innovation, and lead high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing at all organizational levels.
• Experience with managing a team of direct reports across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
• Strong technology background 
• 10+ years’ experience in Product Management with increasing levels of demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading AI/ML product strategy in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Experience with large scale low latency systems will be strongly preferred.
• Able to build relationships, gain exposure, and influence positive change with internal and external leadership teams through demonstrating key domain expertise and strong communication skills.
• Experience with managing a team of direct reports across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding payments, fraud and authentication landscape and ability to translate product strategy into executable plans.
