Job Description
As the Product Data Management Engineer/Analyst, you work as part of a team of developers who develop and maintain data management tools/apps that support material master data management processes within Rockwell Automation.
Your responsibilities:
- You will maintain data management tools/apps used to support creation and maintenance of product master data including material master and supporting data objects.
- Work under guidance on complex issues where analysis may require discovery of global business processes, and organizational goals in areas not directly related to this position.
- Work with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present information.
- Compile and assess user feedback to improve application performance
- Build working relationships throughout the global organization.
- Ability to find and fix errors in programs and software.
- Maintain proper coding practices and documentation.
- Apply company procedures to resolve routine issues in master data management.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years experience in similar position
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Database design and SQL query development skills.
- Experience with Cloud computing architecture.
- Possess a logical, analytical, and creative approach to application development.
- Willingness to participate in project teams.
- Be comfortable working with colleagues in multiple functions.
- Self-drive and experience with learning.
- Ability to learn/develop an expertise in master data management
- Any SAP experience is desirable.
- Any experience with low-code/no-code app platform development is desirable.
- Microsoft Power Platform experience is desirable.
- Microsoft Power Business intelligence and data visualization (Power BI) is desirable.
- Microsoft Azure Cloud experience is desirable.
- Cloud API development experience is desirable.
- HTML, JavaScript, or CSS is desirable.
- Microsoft VBA experience within MS Access and MS Excel is desirable.
- Experience with data structures and relationships is desirable.
- Workflow design and implementation (ex: PowerApps, Agile Point NX)
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Python, CSS, PowerShell, and User Interface design is desirable.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitLab is desirable.
