Principal Software Developer

Oracle is investing heavily in Generative AI, so having a good understanding and experience in leveraging the capabilities of Large Language Models would be useful. 

In this role, you will design, develop, and build scalable services using agile methods  leveraging the  latest and greatest advancements in software development and GenAI to solve complex business problems intelligently.

Your expertise will be pivotal in building end to end software solutions flows that include:-  data base design, conversational AI solutions, Agentic flows using LLM and other cutting-edge Machine learning techniques. You will partner with product managers, software engineers, and operation teams to leverage engineering innovations to simplify the business requirements into scalable solutions.

You will be expected to be able to work without immediate supervision and deliver on departmental goals in the required timeframe.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, proficient in Java,  have a complex understanding of the Fusion and Spectra technology stacks, be proficient in data base design and have experience of building scalable solutions, along with acute  product sense and business understanding, in order to map the technology choices to the context of each initiative. 

Career Level - IC4

1. Write elegant and performant code in Java.
2. Create detailed technical designs specifications, present it to the team and write code as per the design.
3. Perform thorough code reviews for the Java code written by peers.
4. Design and build scalable solutions for distributed systems using microservices.
5. Develop proof of concepts in Java as well as python for AI and GenAI solutions. 
6. Build high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions that brings GenAI capabilities, leveraging latest advancements such as Agentic LLM and RAG frameworks, etc. in GenAI space. 
7. Leverage third-party and in-house ML tools & OCI platform to develop reusable, highly performant machine learning systems with low-latency serving and reliable means to update/re-train ML models.
8. Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including product managers, operations team, and data scientists.
9. Communicate continually with the project teams and explain progress on the development effort.
10. Ensures quality of work through development standards and QA procedures.
11. Keen on improvising technical solutions and processes emphasizing discovery through doing, iteration, and feedback loops.
12. Identify opportunities for business impact, understand and prioritize requirements for machine learning systems and data pipelines, drive engineering decisions, and quantify impact.

Minium Qualifications

1. BS/MS/Phd in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields
2. Fusion and Spectra development experience required
3. Proficient in Java and object-oriented concepts.
4. Proficient in Data modeling and database design.
5. Proficient in Data structures and Algorithms
6. Good working knowledge of Microservices Architecture, Application Architecture, and Technology Architecture. 
7. Experience with containers and cloud native components
8. Experience with scripting languages for developing automations
9. Experience in developing resilient and fault tolerant systems.
10. 5+ years software engineering experience in a distributed cloud environment
