As a member of the Advance Auto Parts team, you will have an opportunity to disrupt a $150B auto parts industry to bring better and faster solutions to customers. Responsibilities

• Develop blueprints and technical playbooks for complex Big Data analytics solutions
• Develop prototypes, technical proof of concepts and code with various solutions and convert platform architecture blueprints to real life working artifacts
• Assist in conducting technical training and onboarding of new staff
• Manage and Coach team members and assist with their work, including providing coaching, feedback and guidance on work performance;
• Strong cloud experience - AWS, Redshift or Snowflake
• Define, design, model, implement, and operate large, evolving, structured and unstructured datasets
• Build robust systems and reusable code modules to solve problems across the team and organization with an eye on the long term maintenance and support of the application
• Perform application testing and validation, programming, and documentation.
• Work with the latest open source tools, libraries, platforms and languages to build data products enabling other analysts to explore and interact with large and complex data sets
• Partner with Product Owners and cross functional teams in a collaborative and agile environment
• Design rich data visualizations and interactive tools and solutions to communicate complex ideas to customers and company leaders
• Collaborate across the enterprise to enable and share best practices and reusable and scalable tools and code for our analyst community
• Establish forward looking Data and technology objectives and developing the strategies and actions for the team to achieve them

Required Qualification

• Minimum of 10-15 years of IT experience with 7 years working with Data Management, Business Intelligence, Architecture, Machine Learning or Data Analytics
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and SQL on Hadoop related technologies
• At least 5 years of experience in application design, development or analysis
• Experience and proficiency in one of Python, Java, Scala, or a similar programming language
• Experience leading technical delivery teams, overseeing all technical requirements and deliverables
• Define, design, model, implement, and operate large, evolving, structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience with Hadoop/Spark implementation, NoSQL technologies (Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4j etc.).
• Knowledge of Big Data Platforms and advanced analytics technologies (predictive as well as prescriptive – SAS, R, Python, Machine Learning etc.)
• Experience developing Data warehouses hosted on MPP (massively parallel processing) architecture, distributed systems and analytics platforms
• Cloud based Data and Analytics platform solutions – GCP or AWS Cloud
