About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data models and pipelines that support our business needs and enable self-service analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices, as well as the ability to work with various technologies and tools.
What you’ll do:
Design, build, maintain, and optimize data models aligned to business needs, providing harmonized models ready for consumption. Support data integration, data migration, and data modeling.
Extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand Business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure data quality and consistency across all data models and pipelines.
Assist in preparing data models for self-service analytics.
What You’ll Bring:
7+ years of experience in data engineering and working with data pipelines.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms are preferred.
Proven experience in data engineering and working with data pipelines and proficiency in ETL & ELT Processes.
Experience with data orchestration tools such as Fabric Data Factory, FiveTran, Airflow or AWS Glue.
Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools like Purview, Atlan, Alation, Collibra, Informatica, or Precisely Data Integrity Suite.
Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques such as Kimball, Medallion, Inmon, Star Schema or Snowflake Schema.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL
Understanding of data Lake / Lakehouse technologies such as OneLake, DataBricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
