Supply Chain Planning Analyst

What you’ll do:

As a member of the Production Planning team, support the three Master Planners in creating a 3-week integrated Production Plan for all Distribution facilities in our network, including acting as a backup Master Planner:

• Perform analytical work to support Operations Planning, Distribution, and Transportation process improvements including recommendations to save operational expenses and/or improve service to stores and customers
• Provide data analysis, build dashboards, automate & improve existing processes, recommend new processes and automation opportunities including AI tools
• Work cross functionally with Distribution, Transportation, OPC, Project teams, Merchandising and Stores to deliver sound business decisions ensuring best cost, quality, performance and reliability
• Contribute to initiatives to improve the tools and processes in the creation and delivery of the Distribution Centre plans
• Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for adverse events that affect supply chain operations – examples might include extreme weather or carrier work stoppages
• Support TrueNorth Strategy “One Team, Agile & Scaled” Cornerstone focused on delivering OpEx efficiency and product flow
• Provide support for and update tools and processes to adapt to Network Design updates, including new material handling equipment, product deployments by facility, facility opening and closures, forecasting changing resource requirements, and large system implementations including TMS and YMS
• Partner with teams that support automation including Repetitive Process Automation (BOTs) & Agentic AI to automate existing processes and build net new capabilities; automate and improve style and design of existing plans and reporting

Key relationships:

• Stakeholders include Distribution Centres, Regional Operations, Transportation, Ops Planning teams, Merchandising, Project Teams, and Stores/Dealers

What you bring:

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business, Math, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience
• Strong data analysis and querying skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Access
• Power BI development, VBA and/or coding skills are highly valued
• Experience with AI tools highly valued, including daily use and/or development with generative AI, LLMs (Chat CTC/Chat GPT, Copilot for daily use), agentic AI, ability to recommend and execute on automation opportunities leveraging AI
• Ability to query a data set and transform it into insights and forecasts quickly
• Ability to take inputs or requests from an Executive, Master Planner, Manager, Team Lead, or cross-functional stakeholder and build data-driven insights to support decisions
• Understanding of the principles of logistics, distribution, transportation, forecasting and replenishment, offshore and domestic shipping
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities, including comfort interacting with stakeholders at all levels
• A team player and team builder, willing to jump in and assist teammates or cross-functional groups with solutions, support, and recommendations
• Planning and organization skills, including ability to work under time pressure
• Experience or education in Planning, Scheduling (finite scheduling, constraint identification, management and resolution, advance planning linked to capacity plan, master scheduling etc.) is an asset
• Working knowledge of Blue Yonder JDA software (Demand & Fulfill and Transport), Oracle Transportation Management, P44, and/or Daily Planning/OPC Applications is an asset
