Our challenge
We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the software development lifecycle using Azure DevOps services. This includes automating processes, managing infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of applications. They work closely with development, operations, and other teams to streamline workflows and improve the overall software delivery process.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Weehawken, NJ is $125k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
- Develop and maintain configuration management and orchestration tools.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
- Monitor and respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design and deploy applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
