We are currently hiring for a Data Engineer within Navista - Data & Advanced Analytics team to support the growth of our Navista Application Suite and the Integrated Oncology Network (IoN).
The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics lifecycle to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Job Overview:
As a Data Engineer, you will help define and implement cloud-based infrastructure for Data Lakes, Analytics and Machine Learning initiatives. In this role, primary focus is to architect, implement and operationalize large-scale enterprise data platforms, and solutions leveraging one or more of Azure Cloud Platform technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions. As a primary subject matter expert, you will be implementing and providing consultation services and guiding various build and operations teams to productionize Big Data and Analytics workloads.
You will build solutions that ingest, store and distribute our big data to be consumed by data scientists and data analysts. You will leverage emerging cloud technologies to build Data Platforms and Pipelines at enterprise scale to support Analytics and ML/AI solutions. All this while leveraging agile DevOps (DataOps, MLOps) practices, and automation to enable speed, quality, and provide a seamless experience to internal/external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Design: Designing and implementing Data Platforms, Data Pipeline(integration) technologies, and Common Data Services using cloud native integration and analytics technologies
- Alerts & Monitoring: Creating robust and proactive monitoring and alerting for new and existing data pipelines
- Data Governance: Establish data quality standards, data governance policies, and data security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Creating datasets for reporting, data analysis and Machine learning algorithms
- Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the analytics teams including data analysts, data scientists, business analysts, and product teams to define requirements, mine and analyze data, integrate data from a variety of sources
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Perform detail assessments of current state data platforms and drive enhancements and optimization activities
- Participate in implementation of BI visualizations
- Lead data engineering activities, including scoping, planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring successful delivery of data solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Optimize data pipelines for large scale data lake implementations
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and releases
- Leverage Azure services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions) to support data transformation and storage
- Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations using SQL
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
Qualifications:
Required proven experience in the following:
- Hands-on experience in Azure as well as SSIS and MS SQL.
- Experience in managing Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and databases required.
- Strong knowledge of data pipeline, Azure Monitoring and Logging.
- Experience in maintaining Azure platform
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python is a plus
- Oncology data experience is a plus
- RCM experience is a plus
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, etc.
- Agile development skills.
- CI/CD pipelines such as Concourse, Jenkins and Terraform technologies
- GCP Cloud cost optimization and authoring performance efficient queries
Anticipated salary range: $93,500 - $133,600
