Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data practices are efficient, compliant, and scalable while maintaining the highest standards of data quality across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and manage the roadmap for these critical areas of our data management ecosystem.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development: Develop and own the product roadmap for Data Governance and MDM. Identify key opportunities and business requirements to improve data quality, compliance, and data stewardship across the organization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT, data analysts, legal, compliance, and business unit leaders, to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Lead all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation through development to launch. Define product requirements, document user stories, and prioritize features based on business value.
• Data Governance Framework: Drive the creation and implementation of data governance policies, frameworks, and procedures. Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance standards are adhered to, aligning with industry best practices.
• Master Data Management Strategy: Lead the implementation and evolution of MDM strategies, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy of master data across the organization.
• Data Quality & Integrity: Work with data stewards and technical teams to define data quality metrics and ensure that data meets the established standards for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze and optimize current data processes, identify gaps, and propose enhancements to ensure data governance and MDM practices remain scalable and effective.
• Cross-functional Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including data architects, engineers, analysts, and business users, to ensure the success of MDM and Data Governance initiatives.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify risks related to data governance and MDM practices and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Core Competencies & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in product management or data management roles, with a focus on Data Governance and Master Data Management
At least 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000).
• Experience with MDM platforms and tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDM, Oracle MDM, or similar).
• Familiarity with data management technologies such as data integration, ETL, data warehousing, and data quality tools.

• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including business, legal, compliance, IT, and engineering teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and ownership of responsibilities; takes proactive steps to drive results and holds oneself to high performance standards.
• Maintains a strong focus on delivering value and quality to internal customers.
