Linguistic Program Manager (Automotive+)

The Linguistic Program Manager validates speech and text language data used to train our ASR models. Additionally, the Linguistic Program Manager carries out various tasks that require phonetics and phonology expertise in Tamil. The role establishes the phoneme set and pronunciation rules, which will be used for building the ASR models. The Linguistic Program Manager works closely with the Testing team to create valid test phrases for relevant domains. They also provide various sample phrases to help augment our domains' Language Models.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in gathering and curating the speech and text data for our ASR team
• Establish phoneme sets and pronunciation rules for the target language
• Provide test case phrases for our domains
• Provide artificial training data sets for the Language Models improves domain performance
• Testing of our systems and analysis of the results.

We would love to hear from you if:

• You have completion of formal language studies, a language degree, or a degree in Linguistics (or equivalent experience)
• You have native-level proficiency in spoken and written Tamil
• You have familiarity with linguistics, phonetics, and phonology
• You have experience as a data evaluator and with training data for machine learning
• You have experience in data curation, data quality, or software QA
• You have experience in Bash, Python, or other programming languages
• You have a background in project management/coordination
• You have proficiency with Google Docs, Jira, Confluence

This role is available in Bengaluru and will be hired into Amelia Global Services, a subsidiary of SoundHound AI. Our recruiting team will provide a total compensation range based on location and years of experience
