This is a Data & Analytics Engineering II position at the Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, and optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

Looking for a Test Automation Engineer with development background to support back-end service level testing. The candidate must be well-versed in coding in Java and/or Python and experienced in working with Cucumber and TestNG test automation frameworks
What you’ll do in the role:
- Responsibilities include creating, designing, coding and maintaining automation frameworks in support of one or more trading backend services
- Collaboration with the team for test analysis, defect management and delivering timely automation testing are also required
What you'll bring to the role:
- Familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle and support of Agile releases are required
- Good communication skills, working as part of a team and a personable presence is a must?
- Candidate must be self-motivated, reliable and detailed oriented
- Knowledge and experience in the trading and financial area is preferred
- Must have 2+ years of experience in Testing space
- Experienced coding with Java version 8 and above
- Knowledge of modern QA principles and standards
- Experience working in a QA automation role for Agile releases
- Well-versed in delivering Java-based automation solutions using industry standard frameworks Cucumber and TestNG
- BDD Frameworks - Cucumber(preferred), JBehave or Serenity
- Other automation frameworks - TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Katalon
- Familiarity with REST API, socket, RPC connectivity
- Experience working on Linux preferred
- API testing tools - Postman, Newman, SOAP UI
- Source control - Bitbucket, GitHub, Git
- Build Tools - Maven(preferred), ANT
- Java IDE - Eclipse, IntelliJ
- Test execution - Jenkins pipelines
- DB - MariaDB, MySQL or Oracle
- Data Analysis tools - ELK stack
- OS Platforms - Windows, Linux (some bash scripting)
- Test Management - Jira, Rally, XRay

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
