We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to help us solve high-impact challenges across our product and business ecosystem using scalable data science techniques. In this role, you’ll develop models, design data-driven strategies, and deliver actionable insights that influence core product, growth, and monetization initiatives across a platform with 70 million daily users. Your work will shape decision-making through rigorous analysis, forecasting, and optimization, empowering teams with the data they need to act confidently and at scale. In this role, you will have an opportunity to:- Contribute to products used by tens of millions daily. - Join a collaborative, results-driven team that values experimentation and continuous improvement. - Work with modern data tools and scalable infrastructure.This role is within the Advanced Analytics & Product Optimization team and the ideal candidate will be based in based in Budapest or willing to relocate to Budapest.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable opportunities in product performance and user activity. 
  • Develop and deploy predictive models for lifetime value (LTV), churn risk, user segmentation, and forecasting KPIs. 
  • Design and evaluate controlled experiments (A/B tests) to assess product changes and campaign effectiveness. 
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to identify metrics, define data requirements, and track product impact. 
  • Produce high-quality dashboards, reports, and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Python) to support real-time decision-making. 
  • Ensure data consistency and collaborate with engineering to improve data infrastructure and event pipelines
  • Continuously explore and implement innovative analytical techniques to improve business outcomes. 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in data science or applied analytics roles. 
  • Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy/SciPy/pandas, scikit-learn), Spark, and deep experience in SQL. 
  • Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and machine learning principles. 
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and cloud data platforms. 
  • Proven ability to distill complex datasets into clear, concise recommendations for stakeholders. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience with both on-premises infrastructure and AWS ecosystem, as well as tools like dbt and Airflow. 
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI. 
  • Understanding of metrics like retention, conversion, engagement, and revenue optimization. 
  • Experience working in high-traffic environments such as entertainment, media, or multi-brand platforms.
