The role of d&ai is to ensure we’re supporting the growth of Endeavour by providing meaningful insights to support decisions and outcomes for customers and stakeholders across our retail and online environments.
As the Senior Data Analyst - AI Range & Space you will be responsible for leading end-to-end analytical projects and coordinating delivery with stakeholders with a key focus on strong insights and actions for business use.
We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid of the unknown: can ask the right questions, get deep into data, build and maintain new models for data consumption, explain findings to stakeholders and work as part of a well-rounded team of analysts.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role
- Lead full analytical lifecycle (requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, data collation and interpretation, insights generation, testing and delivery) across multiple work streams
- Focus on the insights (aka ‘so what’) from ongoing and ad hoc analysis, defining the narrative and identifying actions and opportunities
- Ensure your solutions meet business requirements whilst aligning to team standards to provide consistency across the business
- Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders to become their trusted advisor and partner
- Provide SME support on data and insights needs to key stakeholders within relevant functional domains
- Build curated datasets from various internal and external data sources on our Google Cloud Platform
- Develop end-to-end processes for data modelling, mining and production (aka how will you source, cleanse, merge and manage your data?)
- Document your pathways: champion the role of solid data governance, create data lineage assets and create meaningful documentation for your stakeholders and peers
- Thrive and grow (and challenge) our team norms, standards and procedures to provide consistency across the business and with peers
- Keep knowledge of current trends up to date to ensure our solutions remain in line with industry best practice
- Support peers and coach junior team members.
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you
As our successful candidate you will form part of Endeavours Data & AI (d&ai) team. You will have proven experience in a similar role where you have supported key stakeholders to deliver insights and support decisions, as well as having worked with cross functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Governance, Privacy, Platform and Operations teams.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics)
- Have a minimum of 5 years hands on analytics experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong experience with databases, DB queries, able to manipulate data & understand impacts on performance
- Experience in optimising the design of the data sets to run fast and bring data together
- Strong understanding and experience in designing data structures
- Experience in technical operations working with Cloud technologies (GCP, DBT)
- Data visualisation and storytelling experience (Tableau)
- Ability to inspire, coach and develop more junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with large and complex data sets using different applications
- Delivery and outcome-focused with a constructive approach to challenges and problem solving
- Analytically inquisitive - identifies opportunities to find root causes
