Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team. This position will be responsible for developing and using programming tools for e-discovery and litigation services. The Data Analyst will use Text Editor to transform data for loading to databases and creating reports. This position is a full-time, remote position with the option of working onsite 3 days/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess complex data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing management or client requests.
  • Research new data sources and analytical tools.
  • Contribute to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with accessing, viewing, and presenting electronic data.
  • Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or client.
  • Help develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products.
  • Analyze, transform, load, publish, and transfer electronic documents and data.
  • Communicate regarding technical processes and electronically stored information from a variety of data sources.
  • Work with management and/or clients to develop and understand product specifications.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management.
  • Research process problems and engage the team in problem solving.

Requirements:

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical ability.
  • Good oral and written communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with advanced text editors.
  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel.
  • Excellent client service is expected.
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery software or legal processes; experience working in a professional environment; programming experience (e.g., Visual Basic, C++, Python, etc.).

  • Punctuality and satisfactory attendance are imperative.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
