We're seeking someone to join our team as a Data Analyst to work alongside the Data Analytics lead to develop analytics, dashboards and insights within specific coverage are of Internal Audit. 


In the Internal Audit division, we provide senior management an objective and independent assessment of the Firm’s internal control environment for risk management and governance. This is an Analyst level position within our Technical Specialist function, which is responsible for providing extensive subject matter expertise and reinforcing the ability of business and technology audit teams to appropriately assess risk and determine and execute coverage.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Be Data Curious - Analyze large and complex data sets to produce compelling insights and identify trends and outliers

  • Work with the Data Analytics lead and other stakeholders to establish project objectives

  • Define detailed requirements including business rules and data acquisition needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly dashboards and visualization tools

  • Develop processes and scripts to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data

  • Perform ongoing dashboard maintenance, including conducting data quality reviews

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly dashboards and visualizations

  • Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to build effective working relationships and to execute on team deliverables

  • Effectively manage multiple deliverables while delivering high-quality work

  • Opportunities to utilize data analytics solutions and tools in Internal Audit 


What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 2+ years' of relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • 4-year college degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields) or equivalent

  • Experience using SQL / Python / Alteryx, etc. to create complex queries for extracting and analyzing data

  • Familiarity with database design concepts

  • Ability to translate complex technical data concepts and language into business context

  • Working understanding of data protection and data sensitivity rules and best practices

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral

  • Experience in Internal Audit banking and capital markets would be an advantage

  • Knowledge and experience of AI/ML concepts and development of models would be an advantage

  • Extensive experience developing dashboards in Tableau, QlikView and PowerBI would be an advantage

  • A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors

  • Willingness to solicit and provide feedback to further develop self and peers

  • Experience working with global teams preferred
