Position Description

 

Develops and maintains full stack Web applications for partners to run Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) models using Spring Boot, Spring, and Angular. Provides creative solutions to business requirements. Deploys applications into Amazon Web Services (AWS). Participates in on-call support to triage and fix critical issues reported. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. 

  • Analyzes various use cases and resolves their impediments. 

  • Automates internal and external processes to provide the best customer and developer experiences. 

  • Develops full stack Web applications. 

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. 

  • Drives release management aspects of projects. 

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. 

  • Develops comprehensive application documentation.  

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. 

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. 

 

Education and Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing full stack Web applications on Cloud platforms using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring frameworks. 

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing full stack Web applications on Cloud platforms using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring frameworks. 

 

Skills and Knowledge

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing full-stack Web applications using Java, Python, and Angular; and implementing Microservices architecture that support AI/ML platforms used to build, train, and deploy ML models on AWS, using Spring Boot and RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). 

  • DE writing automated tests and performing infrastructure management via Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to build, package, and maintain applications, using Jenkins, GIT, Maven, and Artifactory; and monitoring application performance metrics/tracing capabilities by integrating with logging tools (Datadog) or OpenTelemetry libraries.  

  • DE collaborating with onshore and offshore business and technology partners in a cross-functional Agile organization building robust multi-tier applications on AWS platform using cloud services—EC2, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, ALB, and CloudFormation; optimizing the performance and configuration of resources in AWS and building serverless Lambda functions to orchestrate and automate operational activities using AWS CI, AWS SDK, and cloud services—CloudWatch. 

  • DE designing and deploying Cloud ready Web applications using 12-factor design, Docker containers, and API microservices, on cloud platforms and Kubernetes infrastructure; and analyzing application metrics and logs to determine performance enhancements, using Datadog.
