Biomedical Applied Scientist

The Health and Wellness AI team at Meta focuses on leveraging AI to enhance health and wellness experiences, particularly through wearables and other devices. This team is involved in developing AI-driven solutions that can provide insights into health and fitness, enabling users to better understand and manage their health. They work on creating personalized health experiences by integrating machine learning infrastructure, which can include features like VR workout recommendations based on exercise readiness. The team also collaborates with other divisions to ensure that health data is handled securely and in compliance with privacy standards, aiming to create a seamless and engaging user experience across Meta's platforms.Biomedical Applied Scientist Responsibilities

• Build algorithms and models using biomedical sensors to compute health-related biometrics
• Analyze the results of these algorithms and their applicability to a range of health domains, including fitness and sleep

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience building algorithms and models using biosensor data
• Experience with statistical/analytical analysis of predictive models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Photoplethysmography(PPG) sensors
• Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Biomedicine, Biomedical Sciences or Computer Science
