A Day in the Life:
- Maintaining data integrity across platforms through audits, quality checks, and governance practices
- Identifying and resolving data anomalies, outliers, and inconsistencies in real time
- Documenting and improving data processes and lineage in collaboration with analytics and engineering teams
- Building visualizations and dashboards using best practices to surface actionable insights
- Automating routine data cleansing using Python (Pandas, APIs) and SQL (window functions, joins)
- Supporting the architecture and configuration of Smartsheet, Excel workflows, and associated automations
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align on data needs and maintain compliance with privacy and security policies
- Troubleshooting data issues by tracking dependencies across automations, cell links, and scripts
- Partnering with the central analytics team to evolve pipeline structure and enable scalable reporting
What it takes:
- 5+ years in a data analytics or data management role
- Advanced experience with Smartsheet, Excel, or similar platforms for automation and data mesh
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins and window functions
- Proficiency in Python, especially data wrangling with Pandas
- Familiarity with AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, and Lambda
- Hands-on data visualization experience (Amazon Quicksight preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting complex data dependencies with limited context
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet SDK and API-based data integration
- Familiarity with VSCode, DataGrip, or other developer IDEs
- Strong grasp of visual storytelling and dashboard design principles
