Job Description
Reporting to the HR Research manager, this individual will join a team of HR analysts whose purpose is to use data and analytics to provide timely, accurate, and relevant data & insights for leaders about their workforce that allows them to make informed, fact-based strategic decisions to attract, develop and/or retain top talent. The HR data analyst will be involved in researching potential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), building prototypes, translating research into insights and/or recommendations for leaders, and performing ad-hoc analyses. This individual should be able to present recommendations in a clear and concise manner, that is meaningful for the business. They should also be comfortable following risk and compliance guidelines in processing, analyzing and share out of employee sensitive data.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 5+ years coding in statistical tools such as R or Python and SQL to analyze and interpret data.
- 3+ years programming DAX and visualizing data in Power BI.
- Strong analytical skillset with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- People Analytics experience is nice to have but not required
- Comfort with ambiguity, able to approach business problems consultatively and draw on broad experience of analytical tools, disciplines, and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience or advanced education with advanced analytics/statistics, computer science, or data science.
- Experience working with data from HR systems such as Workday or ServiceNow.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Banking or other highly regulated industry experience is nice to have
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
