Senior Oracle Data Engineer

Award winning global supplier of Contract Staffing, Independent Contractor Solutions, Permanent Placement, Global Payroll & Employer of Record Solutions.You will be part of the Data Team where you, together with the team, will be responsible for the technical management & support of a database with an application on top, migration, and sunsetting the same database. Furthermore, you will be performing application management work, including managing contracts, licenses, and life cycle activities.
Other products, tasks, and initiatives will also be in scope and prioritized depending on value.
The business area you will work for is Bioenergy – Bioenergy provides heat and power to the Danish society. Furthermore, we are involved in the Carbon Capture Storage agenda.
Must have:
- Oracle database management experience
- Application management experience
- Proficient in Postgres/Timeseries databases
- Experience with one or both Python and C#
- Experience with Kubernetes and CICD pipelines.
- Vendor & contract management experience
- Data engineering experience
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Sunset a big database system and perform all activities that come with sunsetting a big database system, and ensure all data is transferred to a new modern data ecosystem. This will include, but not be limited to:
- planning of work
- collaborating with 3rdparty database vendor
- collaborating with and consulting data owners
- migration of data
- guiding data owners on how to perform migration
- Validate when the migration is done.
- Application management
- Operational tasks included in being technically responsible for the application & database
- Act as a team member in our data engineering team and work on any prioritized tasks
