Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Steward – Master Data Governance (m/f/d)

To support this, we are strengthening our global data governance capabilities and are seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Steward – Master Data Governance (m/f/d) to play a key role in implementing and operationalizing master data governance across the enterprise.

This role bridges strategic governance frameworks and operational data management. As Senior Manager, you will ensure that our master data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with global standards – enabling reliable, data-driven decisions across business functions.

You will collaborate across functions and regions, working closely with local data stewards, IT, compliance, and business teams. This is a hands-on role with leadership elements and a direct impact on our data quality, business operations, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and consistency of global master data across domains such as product, customer, supplier, and material

• Work closely with regional and local Data Stewards and business teams to align on governance requirements and data quality goals

• Implement and monitor global Data Governance policies, standards, and processes

• Detect and resolve data anomalies, lead root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement

• Contribute to the execution of enterprise projects involving Master Data Management (MDM), data harmonization, or digital transformation

• Support system migrations and implementations with a focus on master data readiness and quality

• Develop and maintain documentation, process standards, and training materials to support scalable master data operations

• Generate and analyze data quality reports to identify trends and recommend corrective actions

• Contribute to defining metadata standards and enhancing MDM strategy execution across systems and geographies

• Evaluate and support the integration of governance tools that enable data stewardship, lineage, and compliance

• Support training and change management efforts to increase data literacy and foster adoption of governance best practices

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data management capabilities

Your Profile

• 6+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, or enterprise data stewardship, preferably in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sector

• 4+ years of leadership experience, including managing distributed teams and senior stakeholders

• Hands-on experience in implementing or improving data stewardship programs across functional areas

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and master data management tools

• Experience with data quality management, cleansing, and analysis tools is an advantage

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and structured work approach

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in intercultural and cross-functional environments

• Able to present complex information clearly and effectively

• Proactive, solution-driven, and reliable mindset

• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
