Citi is a leading global bank for institutions with cross-border needs, a global provider in wealth management and a U.S. personal bank.This is a hybrid role within the Credit & Price Risk Execution Volcker Rule Office (VRO) covering a variety of front office support and data governance responsibilities. The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst will be responsible for interfacing with Trading, Business Unit Managers, Operations and Product Legal representatives as well as contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework for the Volcker Rule Office.
The Volcker Rule Office Control team is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the control and reporting framework to meet Volcker regulatory requirements. The focus of this role will be to assist the team in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.
This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
Responsibilities:
Investigate resolve Volcker related issues and exceptions by coordinating with trading desks, legal, finance and risk. Ensure all documentation/status is maintained and updated in central issue tracking JIRA platform
Assist with Volcker Metrics production, review, and distribution for internal consumption and regulatory reporting
Coordination of regulatory Volcker narrative whereby commentary is constructed, edited and then reviewed by senior management
Identify and understand the DQ issues aligned with that data set including end-to-end data flows and controls and ensure these are addressed in the defined target state solution with robust controls
Perform control current state and gap assessments and identify enhancements needed
Document business requirements to enable the implementation of 1LoD preventative and detective data quality controls
Drive control enhancements related to CDE DQ validations, including supporting the business through UAT and production parallel testing
Lead working groups and/or scrums with stakeholders and technology partners to manage the delivery within the agreed timeline(s)
Qualifications:
5+ years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
Knowledgeable about financial products/markets and ability to analyze data
Understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools
Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
