We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equities Sr. Lead Analytics Consultant to join our Corporate and Investment Banking – Markets analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Markets and a deep understanding of equities traded products including cash equities, structured derivatives, and flow derivatives. The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen with advanced technical skills to drive data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making across our equities business.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large datasets related to equities to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI to support sales/trading, risk, and strategy teams.
Write efficient and scalable SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from complex databases.
Build and automate analytical tools and models using Python for forecasting and performance analysis.
Collaborate with salespeople, traders, quants, and technology teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a data analytics role within sales & trading (either add this or expand investment banking to Corporate & Investment Banking), investment banking, asset management, or a major financial institution.
Strong understanding of equities traded products.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Tableau/Power BI is required.
Experience working with large financial datasets and market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
Solid grasp of financial concepts and risk metrics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience at a top-tier investment bank or global financial institution.
Real life applicability of leveraging AI to enhance performance.
