Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:

• Perform data analysis of transaction data including machine learning and advanced statistical analyses.
• Perform infrastructure tasks to make machine learning and advanced statistical analyses available to other users of the Visa machine learning platform.
• Build a Machine Learning Platform within Visa to allow data scientists to securely train machine learning models over sensitive data.
• Develop monitoring dashboards to collect usage metrics on CPU, memory, and GPU resources, number of users per service, and identification of power users, while also implementing real-time notifications for developers regarding any outages.
• Develop services, tools, or libraries to be used by data scientists for machine learning training and validation.
• Develop a self-service dashboard to assist users in debugging their jobs by providing a user interface to access job logs and statuses.
• Position reports to the Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a data engineer or software engineer-related occupation.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $129,400.00 USD to $200,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
