Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Lead Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
You will lead Maintenance and Repair, execution, and delivery of aircraft inspections & repairs. Delegate as well as perform inspections & repairs of assigned work. You will also drive work performance of technicians to ensure delivery dates are met. Raise issues and communicate/works to resolve daily challenges with Stakeholders of MAR Management.

Your challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: 30%
Ensure compliance with FAA, company policy, OSHA, safety and environmental regulations
Maintain aircraft delivery schedule dates taking into account parts, technician availability.
Plan and prioritize the workload to ensure on time delivery of components in accordance with delivery schedules
Control, assign workforce and monitor work flow according to schedules.
Drumbeating the aircraft activity to reach target turnaround time.
Raise any identified risk of not meeting a delivery date for an order of the assigned aircraft to MAR management following the defined communication process
Identify missing parts and materials that could prevent meeting a delivery date and work on solutions.
Define when is the latest day we could receive the latest part to still meet the committed date
Update MAR management on workload/capacity adequacy
Identifying training needs in order to adjust capacity to workload
Guide aircraft technicians and provide performance expectations.
Train assigned technicians regarding techniques of work performance within the assigned area.
Make sure training matrix is updated for the relevant understanding of aircraft and supporting activities for technicians
Attend regular routine meeting and report relevant aircraft activity or issues
Approve timecards

Refer to Manuals (electronic/paper) to identify repair limitations, confirm accurate inspection methods, and to confirm how to assemble /dis-assemble components
Document labor hours against service order operations
Document defects noted during inspection and repair activities
Repair solutions : 10%
Provide Direct input and support of MAR NASA activities.
Assess the need for repair or replacement
Communicates, written and verbal, on the status of reparable or replacement parts
Suggest and Request repair recommendations from the design office
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed, as required. Interface with customers for delivery; prepare for delivery inspection and any problems customers may discover.
Must be able to work 1st/2nd/3rd shift and weekend/holiday support as needed.
Participation in the Drug & Alcohol Program, as required.

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating
Public Safety and/or EMS experience
Experience:

Minimum eight (8) years of rotorcraft maintenance experience
Airbus Helicopter airframe experience
Safran Turbomeca engine experience
Night Vision equipment function experience
Avionics/Helionix functional experience
Preferred:
4 Years EC 135 maintenance experience
Licensure/Certifications:
Required:
Current FAA A&P license
EC 135 Maintenance OEM Certificate
Preferred:
IA Certification
FCC License
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required:
Background in aviation maintenance on like type aircraft and systems. General knowledge of standard practices and troubleshooting methods.
Have clear understanding of Part 39, Part 43, Part 91, and Part 145 processes and requirements/Regulations
Familiar within inspection techniques and methods within the required scope of work.
Familiar with the use of applicable tooling and equipment, including ensuring they are properly calibrated, stored, and operational for use.
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: 90% Onsite with prompt regular attendance.
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Weekly
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily
Climbing: Must be able to climb ladders and aircraft foot holds on a daily basis to reach the top of the Aircraft for inspections and or maintenance activities. Daily
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. As needed or required
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Clearance:
