Job Description
We’re seeking a talented and motivated full-time Data Engineer to join our team. We’re looking for an individual who can own the Data and Analytics infrastructure to power the rest of the company. The ability to think on one’s feet, enjoy collaborating with highly technical teams, and be comfortable working asynchronously is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and optimize our current stack of data tools: Prefect (on-prem), Snowflake, dbt, Rudderstack, Hightouch, Fivetran, and Looker.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to add metrics to underlying systems and code for better visibility into user behavior.
- Build and design new data pipelines into our Snowflake instance, leveraging AWS and on-premises orchestration tools to evolve our data infrastructure maturity.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and business teams to ensure tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc) are enriched with accurate and timely data to drive effective actions.
- Ensure that our data systems are reliably updating with accurate and timely data and that data syncing between systems is consistent and dependable.
- Guide the evolution of the product and service by normalizing operational data. Develop data strategies to analyze user engagement, product utilization, and user acquisition/activation insights.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Data Engineer working with analysts and engineering teams, including experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics infrastructure.
- Strong SQL skills including schema design, query optimization, and data model evolution.
- Experience with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Ownership mindset - we have a solid foundation but need someone who can evolve our data infrastructure maturity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work independently in a startup environment.
- Understanding of how to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

- B2B SaaS experience
- Experience with data platforms at high-growth companies
- Experience with unstructured data integrations and log processing

CAN Pay Ranges$180,900—$270,680 CAD
