About the Role
As the Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Clinical Natural Language Processing, you will carry out independent and/or team research which has a significant impact in the area of clinical natural language processing and applied Artificial Intelligence and be acknowledged at a national level as being influential in expanding the knowledge of your relevant discipline.
Your role is primarily to plan, develop and engage in high quality research projects in clinical data analysis that are aligned to the project objectives. You will embed your research expertise into the life of the School through the development of high-quality, productivity-driven research networks across RMIT and with local and national, internal and external partners.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Experience in natural language processing preferred; machine learning and/or advanced health data analytics experience may also be considered.
Applied orientation with desire for translational impact.
Strong programming skills and the ability to implement practical systems.
Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs on topics relevant to project objectives as evidenced by publications.

Qualifications
Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in relevant field.
