Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Distinguished Security Engineer to join our team. This is a pivotal role for a highly technical individual who will be instrumental in shaping the future of our enterprise security posture. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across a broad spectrum of cybersecurity domains, demonstrating a disciplined approach to selecting, deploying, and developing cutting-edge technologies. A primary focus of this role will be on driving automation into all facets of our security operations and strategically incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to detect, and respond to cyber threats with efficiency and effectiveness. You will be a hands-on leader, a technical mentor, and a key contributor to our most complex security challenges, ensuring the resilience and integrity of our cyber solutions across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Security Tooling & Development: Evaluate, select, and deploy best-of-breed security technologies. Architect and develop custom security tools, scripts, and integrations as needed to address unique enterprise requirements.
- AI/ML for Security: Drive the research, evaluation, and integration of Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning techniques into security solutions.
- Automation & Orchestration: Champion and implement comprehensive automation strategies for security operations.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize security solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership and mentorship to other security engineers.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or distinguished engineer capacity.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully designing, implementing, and automating complex security solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
Technical Expertise (Deep proficiency in several of the following):
- Automation & Orchestration: Extensive experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Github).
- AI/ML in Security: Hands-on experience with applying machine learning algorithms to security problems (e.g., threat detection, anomaly detection, behavioral analytics).
- Network Security: Advanced knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, VPNs, and micro-segmentation.
- Cloud Security: Deep expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IaaS, PaaS, and Serverless architectures.
- Endpoint Security: Expertise in EDR/XDR solutions, host-based security controls, and endpoint hardening.\
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Deep understanding of enterprise IAM solutions.
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) & SOAR: Experience with leading SIEM platforms and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solutions.
- Container Security: Experience securing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless functions.
