About the role

In person 5 days/week in San Francisco (required)

We are seeking our first IT professional to join our team in San Francisco and kickstart the function from scratch. The ideal candidate will have experience at smaller start ups and will eventually help grow the IT team. This person will provide technical and operational support to employees globally. This role requires strong technical skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate should have both technical and operational experience, supporting a regional and diverse team in an IT Engineer/Admin role. They should understand the daily aspects of IT operations in a fast-growing and dynamic company.

  • Administer a wide variety of SaaS applications, including provisioning, modifying, and removing access.

  • Troubleshoot IT-related issues, including: Hardware, Systems, Networking, Audio & Video, Asset Management

  • Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory for all hardware and software.

  • Device and Endpoint Management: Administer Mac devices with Kandji MDMand best practices, focusing on access control, security, and compliance.

  • Own and evolve our Identity and Access Management (IAM) practices, ensuring secure, scalable access controls that follow the principle of least privilege.

  • Drive IT operations initiatives and special projects. Analyze existing IT processes, suggest improvements, and implement business processes where needed.

  • Help us automate IT processes using tools and scripts that can reduce manual intervention.

  • Work with IT vendors, and internal teams to implement and maintain IT enterprise infrastructure.

  • Take on responsibilities beyond this job description as the company grows.

How to be successful in this role

  • 4+ years of professorial experience in IT/helpdesk/customer service experience

  • Ability to administer Google Workspace (G-Suite)

  • Experience working with SSO & IAM Platforms

  • Capability to manage AV hardware and software, including Zoom and other video conferencing tools

  • Familiarity with our technology stack, including:

    • Jira, Slack, Salesforce, Zoom & Zoom Rooms, Kandji, among others

  • Knowledge of networking concepts (switching, firewalls, subnetting, wireless technologies, VPNs, LAN/WAN, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Must have strong troubleshooting and Interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity stake for role and stage of company. Commensurate with experience.

  • Annual salary range: $110,000 - $140,000
