About the role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate NLP engineer who’s excited to build robust, scalable systems that power modern NLP applications. In this role, you’ll work on LLM-driven features like RAG pipelines and function-calling agents, taking ideas from prototype to production. Solid Python skills and engineering fundamentals applied for GenAI use cases are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Large Language models on a production setting where scalability and latency matters
  • Develop and implement solutions leveraging open and closed-source LLMs, including hands-on experience with techniques like function-calling to integrate with external tools and APIs.
  • Build and optimize advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to enhance LLM performance with external knowledge sources.
  • Implement and experiment with advanced model evaluation techniques, including the use of LLM-as-a-judge paradigms to assess and improve model quality.
  • Conduct rigorous text parsing and analysis to structure and extract valuable information from unstructured data.
  • Build and maintain NLP pipelines and workflows to process large-scale text data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, data science, and software engineering to integrate NLP models into products and services.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the performance and accuracy of NLP models and systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest NLP research and trends, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our NLP models.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Solid foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software engineering best practices.
  • 2+ of hands-on experience developing Python applications in a real-world production setting.
  • 2+ years of experience in NLP development, with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing NLP models and algorithms.
  • Understanding of the ML project lifecycle
  • Proven experience with using and evaluating Large Language Models in production settings.
  • Experience with running experiments in GPUs provided in cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Docker
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining microservices and APIs.
