About the Job

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist with strong machine learning engineering capabilities to join our Modeling team at Agmatix.

You will work with large-scale data at the intersection of agronomy and commerce, designing and implementing algorithmic and machine learning solutions that power our data-driven platform.

This includes developing models to predict buying behavior, sales forecasting, and product recommendation models based on farmer behavior, combining these insights with relevant product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end algorithmic solutions that support business-critical needs and are production-ready
• Work on multiple projects in parallel
• Contribute to the automation and scalability of modeling pipelines

Requirements

About You

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
• 4+ years of relevant experience with a strong track record in Data Science, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Statistical Data Analysis
• Hands-on experience in churn prediction and modeling
• Experience designing ML models for time series analysis and forecasting
• Experience working with large-scale datasets (1M+ data points)
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks
• Proven experience leading data projects and working cross-functionally
• Ability to write production-ready code, including appropriate tests
• Quick learner, adaptable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about working in startups and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Nice to Have

• Experience working with graph databases
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs and their application to data modeling
• Understanding of or experience in the agronomic domain
