At Lendo, Scandinavia’s largest marketplace for loans, we are on a mission to empower people to make smarter financial decisions. Our digital customer experience is powered by data & AI, helping users navigate complex financial choices with confidence.

We are now looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Data & ML team. Not to build models, but to design, build, and maintain the platform that enables machine learning to run reliably in production. This is a role for engineers who have experience building robust systems, infrastructure, and integrations, and who want to get involved in AI and ML development.

Why join us?

  • Make a difference. You will be a part of a highly competent and result-driven team in a fast-paced fintech company where data is at the heart of everything we do. Your work will translate directly into measurable business value – for example, when an ML-driven feature boosts conversion rates or powers better user experiences. At Lendo, you will be able to say, “I made that happen” when our ML solutions drive better decisions for users and create growth for the company.
  • Freedom with responsibility. We believe in trusting great engineers. You will have high ownership, real autonomy, and the space to shape your own approach, backed by a team that values accountability and collaboration. You will help make key technical decisions, introduce best practices, and drive platform evolution.
  • Work across the data spectrum. You will collaborate daily with other software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers, giving you exposure to multiple facets of the ML lifecycle. This is a great opportunity to deepen your expertise or broaden your skills across disciplines.
  • Hybrid setup, global culture. Join a welcoming, international company with colleagues from 20+ nationalities. Our flexible setup combines the best of in-person collaboration with the freedom of remote work. On top of that, we offer competitive salaries.

What you will do

  • Take end-to-end ownership of our ML platform and inference systems, making sure they are robust and scalable.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize production-ready machine learning applications, including integrating ML applications into our microservices architecture.
  • Use modern tech such as Python (FastAPI), Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, GCP, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Terraform, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure strong observability, logging, and monitoring of ML systems with tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and other engineers deliver ML-driven features.
  • Implement best practices in monitoring, testing, and versioning for ML systems.
  • Support the team in handling complex technical environments across different markets.

Who you are:

We believe you have/are

  • Seasoned software engineer who has built and operated production systems.
  • Strong programming skills (ideally in Python), with experience in writing clean, modular, testable code.
  • Comfort navigating multiple technical environments with different tools, standards, and deployment patterns.
  • Understanding of the ML lifecycle and how to collaborate with data scientists to deliver working solutions.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD), and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, and data stores like PostgreSQL.
  • Communicate well across roles and functions and enjoy working in a collaborative team.
  • Pragmatic, take ownership, and thrive in dynamic environments.

What we offer:

  • A place for everyone - an international environment where we have teammates coming from 20+ different countries.
  • Room for you to do things your way.
  • We like to inspire your passion by organising hackathons, and knowledge-sharing events, as well as giving you the opportunity to join global conferences.
  • You can learn lots of things through our Schibsted Learning platform, skilled sparring partners, and a good budget for competence development.
  • A wellness program for yoga, meditation, running, and other activities with colleagues and coaches.
  • 4 000 SEK of health promotion allowance.
  • 30 days of paid leave.
  • Central office location and a hybrid workplace (2 days a week in the office).
  • We also chip in on your pension and give you extra Schibsted shares for free if you join our share-saving plan.
  • And yes, we have the industry standard perks such as team activities and fun parties!

The recruitment process

We conduct interviews and review applications on an ongoing basis, which means the position may be filled before the application deadline. While experience is valuable, we also focus on your potential. To ensure a fair and objective recruitment process, we use work psychology assessments. As part of the process, you will be asked to complete a personality test and a logical reasoning test.

We look forward to your application!
